John Sicola, a native Houstonian and graduate of St. Thomas High school, entered the financial services industry with American General Life Insurance Company in Houston, Texas after graduating from Texas A&M University in 1977.  His focus quickly turned to enriching the lives of his clients by protecting their families and businesses from life’s financial uncertainties.

His approach to planning acknowledges that all areas of our financial life are connected to each other and should be planned with that in mind.  By taking a “bird’s eye view” of his clients’ financial lives, he is able to help his clients create a dynamic, customized approach to securing a positive financial future. Furthermore, John can help his clients achieve their financial objectives so that they can enjoy significant lives by first identifying and then reducing or eliminating unnecessary “Wealth Transfers.”

John’s professional qualifications include earning the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and the Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) from the American College.  In addition to earning a graduate degree from the University of Southern Louisiana (USL) in Advanced Insurance Planning, John has Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, as well as a Texas Insurance License for life, health, property and casualty. These core competencies offer his clients expertise in the areas of risk management, estate, retirement planning on personal as well as on business-ownership levels.

He’s a past Vice-President, Director and active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) - Houston. In addition to teaching courses for insurance professionals, John has spoken to numerous groups in the local community about such varied topics as retirement planning, college funding and business planning.

John and his wife Rosanne have two grown daughters.  In his spare time, he coaches lacrosse at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston while also remaining active in various charitable groups in his community.
